John Krug Eifert, age 78, of Stratford, formerly of Tavistock passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Born in Stratford, son of the late Carl and Bessie (Krug) Eifert. Proud father of Kerri (Joe) Otten, Tim (Jaime) Eifert and Dan Eifert. Loving grandfather to Morgan, Cole, Riley, Christian and Adrian. John was a forty plus year employee with Dominion Chain / Dura Automotive as a machinist before his retirement. Dad was a lifelong Boston Bruins fan, and he was also a coin collector.
John is survived by his brother James Eifert and nieces and nephews. John’s family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Kara, Care Partner Nurses, Rapid Response Nurse (Laurie Wyllie) and the wonderful volunteers, nurses especially Katie at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth your care and compassion given to our father was so comforting. Thank you again.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sister and her husband Carolyn (Ron) Seltzer. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life for John on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. in the reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
