Keith “Jake” Frederick Daum, age 78, lifelong resident of Stratford, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Sakura House (Woodstock). Born in Stratford, son of the late Harry and Luella (Schmidt) Daum. Predeceased by his true love and best friend Fern Ann (Jantzi) Daum (Nov 8, 2018). Proud and loving father of Tanya (Mark) Cook, Tracey (Rob) Bolton and Tricia (Dave) McKay. Grandfather to Tilysa Cook (Zach), Travis Cook (Olivia), Tyler Cook (Abbie), Tanner Cook, Keira Bolton, Connor Bolton, Ethan Sharpe and Jake Sharpe. Great grandfather to Anthony Cook, John Cook, Lincoln Cook, Mia Cook, Gemma Goodall and Jace Goodall.
Keith retired from T.B Woods after 43 years with the company. Keith will be fondly remembered by his brother Bruce (Florence) Daum and his brothers-in-law Keith (Peggy) Jantzi and Garry (Heather) Jantzi and his sister-in-law Annette (Jim) Griffin along with nieces and nephews. The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful nurses from Care Partners and One Care for the outstanding care and compassion Dad received. And to the staff at Sakura House thank you very much, Dad’s stay was brief, but the care was excellent.
Family and friends are invited to Keith’s visitation on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. and on Thursday where his funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. A reception to follow.
