Judith “Judy” Winifred Boersen, age 88, of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving relatives on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Born in Guelph, ON., daughter of the late George Ernest and Lillian “Betty” (Parker) Larter. Judy was predeceased by her loving husband John Elbert Boersen (December 4, 2016). Judy will be fondly remembered by her brother and his wife Ed (Marlene) Larter along with the Boersen-in-laws Anne Bokkers, Alieda Vlasman, Ann, Liz, Gerry, Emma and Viola Boersen. Many nieces and nephews recall great memories and fun conversations with their Aunt Judy.
Predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Adrianna and Ysbrand Boersen, her brother and his wife Stephen (Betty Lou) Larter, her sisters Sarah ‘Sadie” (George) Harrison and Laura (Allan) Hall, Dora (Adrian) Olsthoorn, Betty (Andre)Gras, Peter Bokkers, Tony, Ted (Martina), Bert, Henk, Johan and Renalda Boersen, Joan (Pete)Oud and Joe Vlasman.
Friends and relatives are invited to Judy’s visitation from 9:45am – 10:45am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron St, Stratford. Judy’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The Mass will be livestreamed by clicking on view webcast in Judy’s obituary on the funeral home website. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery. Reception will take place at the Stratford Country Club,53 Romeo St North, Stratford.
