Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation expressed gratitude this week for a donation of $6,000 from Scotia Wealth Management’s Share the Wealth campaign.

The donation was made by possible by Alexander Cardno, who grew up in Seaforth and was a member of the hospital foundation’s board in 2020 and 2021.

Seaforth Community Hospital is part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.

This summer, Cardno, a wealth advisor at Scotia Wealth Management, nominated the foundation as a charity worthy of recognition and support based on the benefit it brings to the hospital and the community.

“We are so honoured that Alexander nominated the foundation for this award,” said foundation chair Ron Lavoie.

“This donation will enhance the Seaforth community by assisting the foundation’s goal of fundraising for a new ultrasound unit.

"As we know, ultrasound plays an essential role in helping healthcare professionals diagnose and determine treatment for a variety of conditions and diseases.”
