The annual Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade returns to St. Marys this Friday beginning at 7 p.m.

Volunteers will begin closing Queen Street from Water Street to Peel Street at 4 p.m. to ensure the route is free of parked cars once the parade begins.

Once the parade begins at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, the route will take it up James Street, west on Queen Street through the downtown, then south on Water Street, where it will end.

“Santa will not stop at Milt Dunnell Field this year, but residents and visitors are encouraged to view the WinterLights display following the parade and throughout the festive season,” says a release from the Town of St. Marys. “The display will be lit each evening between 5 and 11 p.m. until Jan. 1.”
