To encourage area residents to shop local this coming Black Friday, the PC Connect Transit Service is offering free bus rides all day on Friday, Nov. 25.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer residents free transportation to support our local businesses and take advantage of upcoming holiday deals,” said Maggie Kerr, transit project coordinator, in a news release. “We are also celebrating two years of PC Connect, and in turn, two years of improved quality of life for many of our residents. This promotion not only encourages residents to support local, but also encourages residents to get out and try the service!”

Seats can be booked in advance using the Blaise Transit app or by phone at 1-888-465-0783. You must select “pay on board” when booking through the app for rides on Nov. 25 as drivers will not be collecting fares.

The PC Connect public transit service provides transportation throughout Perth County, Stratford, St. Marys, Kitchener/Waterloo and London. PC Connect provides affordable and accessible service on weekdays and Saturdays, and provides connections to other services such as GO Transit.
