Rainfall amounts can reach 50 mm by midnight: Environment Canada

Rainfall warning issued for Perth County; showers and thunderstorms will continue tonight

Environment Canada issues rainfall warning following tornado and severe thunderstorm. 

The warning is in affect for: 

  • Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County
  • Goderich - Bluewater - Southern Huron County
  • Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County


According to the weather alert, rainfall up to 20 and 40 mm have fallen today over some areas. Rainfall amounts can potentially reach 50 mm by midnight due to additional showers and thunderstorms

It is also expected that showers and thunderstorms will change to scattered light showers overnight. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is also possible.
