The rehabilitation of Dunn's Bridge begins on Monday and is expected to last until November.

A portion of O’Loane Avenue will be closed this Monday. The closure is expected to last until November.

The City of Stratford posted an update to the work being done on the street on its Facebook page. In it, the city indicated that the rehabilitation of Dunn’s Bridge at the south end of O’Loane Avenue, near Lorne Avenue, is scheduled to begin this Monday.

That bridge work, which is being done in partnership with the Township of Perth South, will require the closure of O’Loane Avenue from Lorne Avenue to Cody Drive.

Bannerd Drive will also be closed at O’Loane Avenue. A signed detour route will be in place.

Meanwhile, another portion of O'Loane Avenue is expected to reopen tomorrow.

Work on a separate project on O’Loane Avenue, from Huron Street to Brown Street, is nearly complete and expected to reopen by the end of the day on Friday.

That project, located by the Sobeys plaza, includes the installation of service connections, curbs, and sidewalks adjacent to the Thames West subdivision. Some work in that area remains to be done, including the installation of a pedestrian crossover near the main Sobeys entrance.
