Perth OPP respond to single vehicle accident, find driver impaired

Perth County OPP responded to an early morning accident on Road 119 in Perth East to find an alleged uninsured driver impaired by alcohol. 

On Dec. 1 just before 7 a.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision. Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed alcohol and was displaying signs of impairment. A roadside screening device was administered, the driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

A 20-year-old from West Perth, has been charged with: operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford.
