The Township of Perth East has received a $115,000 grant for the construction of an All Wheels Park in Milverton.

"The park and funding will address a community need by providing a low-cost form of outdoor recreation and exercise for the community," says a news release issued today by MPP Matthew Rae.

“The park will provide another avenue for skills development in sports such as biking or skateboarding,” says Rae in the release. “It is important that our children can explore and pursue their interests. The addition of a skatepark in Milverton will expand these opportunities.”

The funding is being provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation through its Capital Grant Stream.

“The Township of Perth East is very happy to have received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation,” says Perth County warden and Perth East mayor, Rhonda Ehgoetz. “The money will be put toward an All Wheels Park in Milverton.  Many people are looking forward to the All Wheels Park, it will be a great addition to the community.”
