OPP news briefs.

Perth OPP have identified a male involved in a suspicious person report, and he has been spoken to about his conduct.

Police investigated a report of a suspicious person, who asked a youth into a vehicle in Listowel earlier in May. A 14-year-old girl was asked for directions to a residence in Listowel. The male was looking to pick up items purchased on Kijiji. The youth gave directions to the driver, then asked if she could get in the vehicle and help him find the house. The youth wisely declined after being asked multiple times. The driver got back into his vehicle and left.

Police encourage parents to regularly engage in personal safety conversations with their children. Tips and resources can be found at www.opp.ca or at the Canadian Centre for Child Protection at www.protectchildren.ca.
