Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation has pledged to raise $655,000 for the hospital over the next two years.

Some of that funding will go toward a new ultrasound machine to replace the unit the hospital is currently using.

The current equipment is nearing its end of life increasing the risk of service interruptions, if replacement parts are not available or delayed, and limit access to ultrasounds for patients.

Seaforth Community Hospital is part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.

The rest is earmarked for lab equipment, in-patient units, the emergency department and staff training resources.

“The foundation applauds the generosity of our donors who help to ensure that Seaforth Community Hospital has the equipment it needs to continue providing exceptional care to our community,” says Ron Lavoie, Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation chair.
