Coalition holding emergency meetings to stop hospitals privatization

The Ontario Health Coalition is hosting emergency town halls across Ontario via Zoom meetings, including Huron and Perth Counties, to force the Ontario government to address the hospital crisis and take crucial steps to support local public hospitals instead of privatizing them for profit.

According to the Ontario Health Coalition news release, the Ford government's plan to privatize hospital services would eradicate local public hospitals. The coalition also says if the government continues to neglect the staffing crisis, the community hospitals will face a great risk.

"We need to force the Ford government to finally help resolve the staffing and capacity crisis in our local public hospitals, and stop his privatization plan," says the release.

The coalition expects large crowds at each town hall; interested individuals should register in advance to attend the Zoom meetings.

  • Clinton, Monday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. Register here.
