County resident facing several charges following accident

A single-vehicle collision in Wilmot Towhship has led to a 24-year-old Perth County man facing several charges after the incident on May 19.

Waterloo Region Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision on Nafziger Road at approximately 6:20 a.m. on the day in question. Police determined that the driver lost control of the vehicle and went into a ditch before rolling over into a field after hitting a grass embankment.

Following their arrest of the suspect and investigation into the incident, police charged the man with Operation While Impaired (Alcohol and Drugs), Operation While Impaired (Blood Alcohol Concentration) and Dangerous Operation. The driver reported non-life-threatening injuries.

Police remind the public that if they suspect an impaired driver or witness driving behaviour that puts others at risk to please call 9-1-1.
