Centre for Employment and Learning congratulates first PSW grads

Next program will begin mid- to late-summer 2023

Students have graduated from the first class offered by the Centre for Employment and Learning’s (CEL) free Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification program.

A total of 25 students were were trained in-class and through co-operative education in a hybrid virtual and in-person format in Stratford and Goderich, says a news release issued by the Avon Maitland District School Board.

“Being a PSW means to give care no matter what and will do that with love and kindness,” one of the graduates says in the a media release. 

“We are very proud of our graduates as they are moving into a role that is critical for many people in our communities. They are beginning to fill the gap and lighten the staffing pressures that many local organizations are feeling,” said Kendra Brohman, CEL principal.
