Stratford police are now deeming the fire at the Huron Street Beer Store to be suspicious following their initial investigations into the incident that occurred on Monday.
Shortly after midnight on Monday, police and Stratford Fire Department were called to the Beer Store at 429 Huron St.. Officials said initially that the cause of the fire was unknown but have now ruled it suspicious following a joint police/fire department investigation.
The damage to the building caused the city to issue an Unsafe Order, closing the Beer Store location as a result.
