StratfordToday received the following letter to the editor from reader Larry Baswick in response to the story City bans two, warns third for critical remarks

The ban placed upon two Stratford citizens by city council from attending public spaces because they were "vexatious" at a Council meeting is beyond curious.

No one, including me, is able to form an opinion regarding this development because no one except attendees at the Feb. 26 meeting knows what happened.

We have a cursory analysis by the two banned people and nothing from the city.

The city owes the fellow citizens of these two an explanation and quickly before the electorate begins to engage in conversation using language such as 'draconian', 'Putinesque', 'secretive', or even 'Trudeauesque'.

I am familiar with one of the banees from my involvement with the Xinyi (?) episode and understand the volatile nature of the person in question but beyond guessing, speculating, or wondering as to whether or not the province might step in with a trustee to run the city as happened up north ..... see what I mean.

This wound needs air or it will fester to no one's benefit.
